CLEVELAND -- The Browns punched the AFC Norths biggest bully in the mouth. The defending Super Bowl champion Ravens are wobbling. Jason Campbell threw three touchdown passes -- two to Davone Bess -- and the Browns ended an 11-game losing streak against Baltimore, beating the Ravens 24-18 on Sunday. Campbells 3-yard pass to Bess on fourth down with three minutes left helped the Browns (4-5) seal their first win over Baltimore since 2007. A week ago, Bess dropped a pass in a similar situation in the closing minutes of a loss at Kansas City. The Ravens (3-5) lost their third straight and didnt win in the week following a bye for the first time in six tries under coach John Harbaugh. Baltimores Joe Flacco had a pair of TD passes to rookie Marlon Brown, but the Super Bowl MVP couldnt rally the Ravens, who made too many mistakes and are in danger of missing the playoffs. Making his second straight start after Brandon Weeden was benched, Campbell completed 23 of 35 passes for 262 yards. The nine-year veteran was at his best in the closing minutes, when the Browns ran 6:30 off the clock to finish off the Ravens, who have lost four of five. Campbell, who briefly left the game in the first half with a rib injury, evaded pressure before making his big completion to Bess and later alertly flipped the ball to running back Chris Ogbonnaya to set up Billy Cundiffs 22-yard field goal with 14 seconds left to put the Browns ahead by six. The Ravens had one last chance, but running back Ray Rice was tackled near midfield as the Browns beat Baltimore for the first time since Flacco and Harbaugh arrived. Browns wide receiver Greg Little had seven catches for 122 yards. Flacco finished 24 of 41 for 250 yards, but Baltimores offence sputtered most of the game against Clevelands vastly improved defence. Down 21-10 and running out of time, Flacco connected with Brown for a 7-yard TD with 12:09 left and then hit him again for the 2-point conversion to cut Clevelands lead to three. Tandon Doss, who earlier fumbled away a punt, set up the score with a 36-yard return that sparked the Ravens. But it was the Browns who made the big plays in the closing minutes, none more important than Bess grab as coach Rob Chudzinski went for it on fourth down with 3:12 left. The Browns capitalized on a muffed punt by Doss to open a 21-10 lead in the third as Campbell threw a 4-yard TD pass to Gary Barnidge with 5:11 left. Baltimores defence, missing Ray Lewis and Ed Reed, was uncharacteristically confused during the sequence as the Ravens were penalized for having 12 men on the field and Barnidge was able to slip away from the line uncovered. After looking dysfunctional for most of the first half, the Ravens came alive in the final minute and pulled to 14-10 on Flaccos 19-yard TD pass to Brown, an undrafted free agent, with nine seconds left. Campbells second TD pass to Bess gave the Browns a 14-3 lead in the second quarter. On 3rd-and-3 from the 20, Campbell a hit a wide-open Bess over the middle and the wide receiver did the rest, faking out cornerback Lardarius Webb at the 10 before sprinting into the end zone and then celebrating by slapping hands with Browns fans reaching over the railing. A week ago, Bess had a hard time finding any friends in Cleveland. His critical fumble on a punt return and a dropped pass in the final minutes denied the Browns any chance of rallying to upset the unbeaten Chiefs. Bess, who entered the game tied for the league lead in drops, didnt make any excuses for the miserable performance and vowed to atone for his mistakes. In the first quarter, Bess caught a 1-yard TD pass from Campbell, fighting off two defenders to haul in the throw at the goal line after Chudzinski rolled the dice and went for it on 4th-and-goal. The Ravens trimmed Clevelands lead to 7-3 on Justin Tuckers 51-yard field goal. Cheap Golden State Warriors Jerseys . The young man, never lacking confidence, thought he could be really good. Omar Infante had three doubles and drove in four runs to help the streaking Kansas City Royals beat the Colorado Rockies 7-4 on Tuesday night. It also brought a smile to Yost, who turned 60. "For 35 years Ive always thought Ive been a winner on every one of my birthdays because Im with a group of guys I really like and have fun being around," he said. "But when you win the game it makes it that much more sweeter." The Royals have been celebrating a lot lately. Since dropping two games below .500 on July 21 they have won 22 of 27 to move two games ahead of Detroit in the AL Central. They even won with ace James Shields not having his best stuff. "It was a grind day. It was one of those days where I didnt have my good stuff at all," he said. "Youre going to go through days like that and you battle through it." Shields pitched six solid innings to get the win for the Royals, who are a major league best 15-4 in interleague play. It took a while but they did get to Colorado rookie Tyler Matzek in the seventh. Matzek (2-9) came into Tuesday with a 9.60 ERA in August but was having his best outing since blanking Pittsburgh over seven innings on July 26 when he ran into trouble with two outs in the seventh. Matzek got the first two outs before allowing a pinch-hit single to Josh Willingham and walking Nori Aoki. Adam Ottavino came on and gave up consecutive doubles to Infante and Salvador Perez to give the Royals a 4-2 lead. "It was a great at-bat. Ottavino was throwing hard, good slider," Billy Butler said. "It woke me up. He had good stuff and Omar stepped up." The Royals scored three more runs in the eighth off Colorados bullpen. Infante had a two-run double with the bases loaded. It was the second time in his career he has had three doubles in a game. The last time, May 27, 2004, came against the Royals when he was playing for Detroit. "Omars swing is so simple, its not a lot of moving parts," Yost said. "He can get on a streak in a hurry." That made a winner of Shiellds (12-6), who allowed two runs on nine hits and struck out six.dddddddddddd He wasnt sharp, allowing base runners in every inning but his last and struck out Drew Stubbs with the bases loaded to end the fourth. Stubbs and Nolan Arenado each had three hits and a home run for Colorado. Arenado went deep in the fifth to give Colorado a 2-1 lead and Stubbs hit a two-run homer in the ninth, when the Rockies mounted a rally. Greg Holland came on and threw one pitch to record his 39th save in 40 chances. "They get a lead after six innings, they pretty much wipe you out," Rockies manager Walt Weiss said. "Thats been the formula for them this year. Guys come in throwing in the upper 90s and throwing strikes." Justin Morneau, back in the lineup after missing two games with a stiff neck, gave Colorado a 1-0 lead with a double-play grounder in the first. Kansas City tied it in the fourth on Lorenzo Cains RBI double. BIRTHDAY BOY Yost was starting his postgame news conference when first base coach Rusty Kuntz interrupted to present the manager with a cake. Kuntz then sang "Happy Birthday" and gave Yost a hug before leaving his office. DOUBLE TROUBLE Infante wasnt the only Royals player to record a two-bagger. Kansas City had six doubles for the first time since July 29, 2011, at Cleveland. TRAINERS ROOM Royals: Perez returned to the lineup after being pulled from Mondays game with a sore knee. Rockies: OF Michael Cuddyer was scratched from the lineup with a sore left hamstring. Manager Walt Weiss said it wasnt a long-term issue, adding that playing a doubleheader Sunday led to the soreness. Cuddyer hit for the cycle in the second game of the Rockies sweep. UP NEXT Royals: Red-hot Kansas City will go for a season sweep of the Rockies with lefty Danny Duffy on the mound. Duffy (8-10) has won a career-high three straight starts. Rockies: Colorados lone bright spot on the mound, LHP Jorge De La Rosa, will face his former team Wednesday. De La Rosa (12-8) made 33 starts for the Royals in 2006-07 before joining the Rockies. He has accounted for nearly a quarter of Colorados 49 wins this season. ' ' '
